Dinner is Served.
It's something we've never done before. Dinner.
Until now, Nate's Place has only served a Candlelight Dinner by reservation only, with a very limited menu. Now with new Chef Josh Nolte in place and an exciting new menu with farm-to-table goodness that will gently evolve with the changing seasons , that's about to change.
Owner Nate Lyons said it best. "Since opening nine years ago, Nate’s Place has been pretty successful at putting out some delicious breakfast and lunch food that’s received rave reviews from our customers. What some might not know though, is that we’ve also done wonderful dinners for bed & breakfast guests or for the public by reservation, even before the restaurant came along. Over the years, we’ve consistently and continuously been asked to open for dinner - convenient, regular hours, no pre-ordering or reservations required. Well, we’re ready to give our wonderful community what they want!
"We will proudly continue to offer the breakfast and lunch that folks have come to know and love. But now, in addition, we’re thrilled for the opportunity to offer a great dinner menu - featuring a variety of handmade, flavorful dishes - for everyone to enjoy. Regardless of what meal you choose to partake in at Nate’s Place, you can expect the same friendly staff, quality food, and unique atmosphere!"
Nate didn't just want to open up for dinner, he wanted to make sure the food was exceptional. Enter new Chef, Josh Nolte. With culinary training from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and manning the grill at renowned restaurants such as Boca Raton Resort and Club and Gisella Restaurant in Aspen, Colorado.
So what brought Josh to Ft. Scott? " It's as simple as this. I've traveled all over the US cooking and really missed being around family. When I found out that my dad took a job here, I decided to come and keep him company," said Nolte.
While guest favorites such as Nate's Signature Burger and Shrimp Alfredo still remain, Chef Nolte will be bringing new menu items to Nate's such as a 16 oz Porterhouse Pork Chop seared in roasted garlic and drizzled in dijon cream sauce and a 14 oz House Aged Ribeye served with a house compound butter. Premium side dishes will also be making their debut. Make room for the Parmesan Gratin Mac & Cheese made with a mix of White Cheddar and Smoked Gouda and a Giant Loaded Baked Potato!
Regardless of what meal you choose to partake in at Nate’s Place, you can expect the same friendly staff, quality food, and unique atmosphere!
Dinner will be served Thurs, Fri and Sat. 5 - 9 pm. Reservations are recommended by not required.
